English develops children’s knowledge, skills and understanding of English language and literature. Mathematics develops children’s creativity in expressing new ideas and discoveries and to recognize the mathematical elements in other creative pursuits. It challenges children to achieve at a level of accuracy and excellence appropriate to their particular stage of development.
Science and Technology helps children learn about the natural and manmade environments by investigating, by designing and by using technology. They learn science is not just a body of knowledge but also a process of investigation – findings are accepted if they can be verifies.
Human Society and its Environment (Social Studies), children learn about people in other parts of the world; the social and physical environment in which they live. Children are also encouraged to develop positive values and attitudes about themselves, others, their community and their future.
Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) develops children’s learning to understand values and lead healthy, active, and fulfilling lives.
Creative Arts addresses the art forms of visual arts, music, drama, and dance. Children develop the knowledge, skills and understanding in making artworks, in appreciating music, in making drama, and in understanding movements in dances
